The Core i5-4210U operates with a base speed of 1.7 GHz which is fast, if not fast enough for you then it can be increased to 2.4 GHz (both cores) and 2.7 GHz (one core) via Turbo.
However, this ProBook does not use the processor’s Turbo while in battery mode. This is to help save your battery, to get it on turbo just plug it in power.
Performance
The ProBook 430 G3 is aimed at private and professional users alike. The laptop’s computing power is enough for day-to-day use in the office or designing. Additionally, the laptop comes with typical business features to help users, e.g. Try the Trusted Platform module and a fingerprint scanner on the laptop.
The laptop is also compatible with a 3G/LTE modem or you can just connect it with WIFI. The laptop can operate on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and 8.1, And finally Windows 10. For Linux users, the laptop is also compatible with most versions of Linux from Ubuntu, Slacko, and Kali Linux. Note that a copy of the Linux or Windows operating system is not part of the delivery.
Graphics Card
Get hooked up with Intel’s HD Graphics 4400 GPU that supports DirectX 11.1 which has it achieving speeds of up to 1 GHz.
The 3DMark benchmark scores are as expected and are on par with those of the ProBook 430 G1. In case you want to upgrade your laptop graphic card, do so by installing a second working memory module.
With this, the memory then operates in dual-channel mode and makes better use of the GPU.
Once done the upgrade will be more evident in computer games or photoshop programs.
Gaming Performance
Get to play mid-performance games that are compliant with intel-based graphics. Nevertheless, you will get to play many games in a low resolution and with low-quality settings compared to high resolution. This however will not affect game performance. However, with a second installed working memory in the laptop this won’t be an issue, enjoy playing with higher frame rates.
Battery Runtime
Take advantage of battery optimization of the screen especially on the energy-saving profile the ProBook will shut down after 2:40 hours of load.
